Day 2: Nairobi to Tsavo East – Land of the Red Elephants

After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Tsavo East National Park (~5–6 hours), one of Kenya’s largest and most iconic safari destinations. Nicknamed the Theatre of the Wild, Tsavo East is famous for its red-dusted elephants, sweeping plains, and the palm-fringed Galana River.

Arrive for lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge, overlooking Aruba Dam—a hotspot for wildlife activity. In the afternoon, embark on your first Tsavo East safari game drive, searching for lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and the rare hirola antelope.
