Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be warmly welcomed by your Pita Safaris representative and transferred to your comfortable hotel in Nairobi. After check-in, spend the remainder of the day relaxing and preparing for your upcoming Mount Kenya trekking adventure. Your mountain guide will meet you for a detailed trek briefing, equipment check and final preparations, including an overview of the Sirimon–Naro Moru Route, altitude considerations and what to expect during the trek.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive towards Sirimon Gate, the starting point of your Mount Kenya trek. After completing park registration and meeting your mountain crew, begin your ascent through the montane forest and bamboo zones of Mount Kenya. The trail gradually climbs through lush vegetation, with opportunities to encounter forest birdlife and wildlife before reaching the higher moorland environment.
Continue steadily towards Old Moses Camp, your first mountain overnight stop. Your guide will maintain a comfortable pace to help you adjust to the increasing altitude before settling into your mountain accommodation for dinner and rest.

After breakfast, continue your Mount Kenya Sirimon Route trek as the landscape changes from forest and bamboo to open moorland and Afro-alpine terrain. The trail passes distinctive giant lobelias, groundsels and other high-altitude vegetation while revealing increasingly impressive views towards the main peaks and valleys of Mount Kenya.
Continue at a steady pace with your experienced mountain guide as you gain altitude towards Shipton's Camp at approximately 4,200 metres. This high-altitude mountain hut provides your base before the summit attempt. Enjoy dinner and rest while your guide prepares you for the early start the following morning.

Wake before dawn for the most challenging and rewarding stage of your Mount Kenya trekking adventure. Begin the ascent from Shipton's Camp in the darkness, following the high-altitude trail towards Point Lenana at 4,985 metres, the highest trekking summit on Mount Kenya.
Reach Point Lenana around sunrise, weather and your wellbeing permitting, and enjoy spectacular views across Mount Kenya's alpine peaks, valleys and surrounding landscapes. After the summit experience, begin your descent along the Naro Moru Route, passing through dramatic high-altitude terrain before reaching the distinctive Vertical Bog.
Continue towards Met Station Camp, where you will spend the night in the forest zone after your summit day.

After breakfast, begin your final descent through the lush forest landscapes of the Naro Moru Route. The trail gradually passes through the famous Vertical Bog and lower forest zones before reaching Naro Moru Gate.
After completing the park exit formalities and saying farewell to your mountain crew, meet your private driver and begin the journey back to Nairobi. Arrive at your comfortable hotel where you can relax and recover after your Mount Kenya summit adventure.
