Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your Pita Safaris representative and transferred to your comfortable midrange hotel in Arusha. After check-in, spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your journey or, if time permits, enjoy an optional Arusha city tour, coffee plantation experience, or visit to a local cultural craft market before your unforgettable Tanzania safari begins.

Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha in your private 4×4 Safari Land Cruiser and drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, located beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a scenic journey before entering the park for an exciting game drive through its diverse forests, grasslands, wetlands, and lakeshore habitats. Search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons, hippos, flamingos, and the famous tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara. After your wildlife adventure, continue to your midrange lodge or tented camp in the Lake Manyara or Karatu area for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart Lake Manyara and travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking landscapes and opportunities for en-route wildlife viewing. An optional visit to Olduvai Gorge can be arranged for travelers interested in Tanzania's archaeological and human-evolution history. Enter Serengeti and begin your first game drive across the vast savannah plains, searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, and other wildlife. Continue to your comfortable midrange tented camp for dinner surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the spectacular Serengeti National Park on private game drives accompanied by your professional English-speaking safari guide. Explore the wildlife-rich plains and search for the Big Five, with excellent opportunities to encounter lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and other predators. Depending on the season, you may witness large herds of wildebeest and zebras moving through the Serengeti as part of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive through prime predator territory. Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Highlands
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti before breakfast, giving you another opportunity to observe predators and wildlife when animals are most active. After breakfast, begin your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying additional wildlife sightings as you leave the Serengeti plains behind. Continue through the scenic highlands towards your comfortable midrange lodge in Karatu or near the crater rim. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge or taking in the spectacular landscapes surrounding the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable half-day Big Five game drive. Explore the crater floor, where the concentration of wildlife provides excellent opportunities to see black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the dramatic crater landscape before ascending and continuing towards Tarangire National Park. Arrive in the Tarangire area later in the day and settle into your comfortable midrange safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park - Arusha / Departure

Search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, lions, and other wildlife before leaving the park. After your game drive, continue to Arusha for your onward journey or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
