9 Days - Kenya Wilderness Outposts

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be warmly welcomed by our Pita Safaris representative and transferred to your luxury hotel in Nairobi. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your international flight or, if time permits, enjoy optional excursions such as Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, or the Karen Blixen Museum before your unforgettable Kenya luxury safari begins.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi in your private 4×4 Safari Land Cruiser and journey towards the beautiful forested highlands of Aberdare National Park. Enjoy scenic views of the Kenyan countryside as you travel into one of Kenya’s most distinctive mountain ecosystems. Arrive at your luxury tree lodge or luxury safari lodge for lunch before enjoying an afternoon wildlife experience around the forested surroundings. Watch for elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, bushbucks, waterbucks, and numerous bird species as you explore this spectacular high-altitude wilderness.

After breakfast, depart Aberdare and travel north towards the dramatic landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. The scenery changes from cool forested highlands to the dry, rugged landscapes of northern Kenya. Arrive at your luxury safari lodge or premium tented camp in time for lunch before enjoying an exciting afternoon game drive. Search for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, crocodiles, and other wildlife along the Ewaso Ng’iro River and surrounding plains.

Spend a full day exploring the spectacular Samburu National Reserve on private game drives accompanied by your professional English-speaking safari guide. Discover the unique wildlife of northern Kenya while searching for the famous Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx. You may also encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch or return to your luxury lodge for lunch before continuing your afternoon wildlife adventure.

Arrive at your luxury lodge or premium tented camp for lunch before exploring the conservancy on an afternoon game drive. Enjoy an exceptional conservation experience with opportunities to see black and white rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife. After breakfast, continue your luxury Kenya safari towards Lake Nakuru National Park through the spectacular landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy scenic views along the journey before arriving at your luxury safari lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, and diverse birdlife. Explore the beautiful acacia woodlands and lakeshore habitats while enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Rift Valley.

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and travel through the spectacular Great Rift Valley towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy scenic countryside views along the journey before continuing to your luxury safari lodge or premium tented camp for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first exciting game drive across the legendary Masai Mara plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, antelopes, and many other wildlife species.

During the Great Wildebeest Migration season, July–October, the Masai Mara offers exceptional opportunities to witness enormous herds moving across the ecosystem and dramatic predator-prey encounters.

Spend a full day exploring the spectacular Masai Mara National Reserve on private game drives accompanied by your professional English-speaking safari guide. Search for the legendary Big Five while discovering cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and abundant birdlife across the vast savannah plains.
